Kevin Henrikson is a San Francisco-based entrepreneur, angel investor, and engineer. Today he leads engineering for Microsoft Outlook on iOS, Android, and Mac. Before, Kevin co-founded [Acompli](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/acompli-inc) which Microsoft acquired in 2014 for $200M. Kevin graduated from UCLA (BS Engineering) in 2000. His early career included operations and technical leadership roles for Federal Express, iSearch (SAAS startup), and Openwave Systems, a mobile Internet software solutions company. In 2005 he joined [Zimbra](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/zimbra), an enterprise collaboration and messaging startup and quickly advanced to Director of Engineering, building and managing a team to develop enterprise and mobility technologies. In 2007 Zimbra was acquired by [Yahoo!](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/yahoo) for $350M. In 2010 he continued as a Senior Director of Engineering after Zimbra was re-acquired by [VMWare](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/vmware), directing Zimbra's engineering and development roadmap planning and execution, including potential company acquisitions. His achievements include steering the successful transition following VMware’s acquisition and championing new quality and agile development processes that reduced bugs in the field, improved schedule predictability, and enabled a more fluid development process. He holds a published patent and a filed patent in conjunction with his work at Zimbra. Kevin is also the co-founder and former CTO of [Alpha Brand Media](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/alpha-brand-media), a digital media publishing company that owns and operates a large portfolio of blogs and websites reaching millions of visitors every month, and specializes in social media and content marketing. He designed the server architecture for ABM and managed all technical resources in support of a network of hundreds of sites. Today he advises on overall strategy and technology.
